Modern pyrolysis instruments perform flexible and efficiently automated pyrolysis of solid and liquid samples at temperatures up to 1,000 °C. If necessary, thermal desorption can be performed prior to pyrolysis to eliminate and even determine interfering volatile material emissions beforehand.
Content
In this one-day Workshop, you will get valuable basic information as well as specific practical know-how based on the analysis of plastic samples using the GERSTEL PYRO. The different options and conditions are explained on the basis of thermal decomposition in the absence of air of the polymers tested.
The practical session is followed by interpretation of the results. A demonstration is also given of how use a data bank e.g. ChomeIdent to evaluate the analysis data.
Who should attend
All interested GC users, particularly those involved in polymer or lacquer manufacturing, biopolymers and forensics. Please contact us if you would like to have your own samples processed.
Please note: Unless otherwise stated, workshops are held in German language. Workshops in English Language are available upon request.
