New MultiPurpose Sampler (MPS) for GC/MS & LC/MS
Next generation of proven platform for sample preparation and sample introduction now available.
The GERSTEL MultiPurpose Sampler (MPS) has been installed in thousands of laboratories world-wide helping these to gain improvements in performance and productivity. The MPS has proven an exceptional autosampler and sample preparation robot for GC/MS and LC/MS, one of the most widely sold in the world. Building on a reputation for reliability and high performance, the new MPS is structured around the proven MPS concept with technological upgrades that make it a reliable platform for the coming decade.
For the user, the new MPS is set up and controlled intuitively by mouse-click using the MAESTRO software - just like the previous MPS generation. There is no new learning curve. The new MPS is compatible with all GERSTEL technologies for sample preparation and sample introduction. Thanks to the forward looking PrepAhead function, sample preparation and GC/MS or LC/MS analysis are performed in parallel for improved sample throughput. The next sample is always prepared, whenever the analysis system is ready for another run, helping to maximize productivity and throughput.
The MPS can help you eliminate sample matrix material easily and comfortably using Solid Phase Extraction (SPE), dispersive SPE (DPX) or Automated GC Liner Exchange (ALEX). Standards or reagents can be added to your sample or dilution series generated automatically. Analytes can be concentrated for improved limits of determination using techniques ranging from Dynamic Headspace (DHS); Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction (SBSE) with the GERSTEL Twister; Thermal Extraction of liquids or solids using the Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) and ATEX; or Solid Phase Micro-Extraction (SPME) with automated Multi Fiber Exchange (MFX). Sample preparation steps can be freely combined by mouse-click using the GERSTEL MAESTRO Software.
The new MPS also features the novel Dynamic Load & Wash (DLW) for fast and cross-contamination-free LC/MS sample introduction.
The main visible difference is in the updated modern look of the new MPS. The important changes are on the inside: The electronics were simplified and updated to reflect state of the art technology, the architecture of the hardware was modernized and improved for easier maintenance and serviceability and a LAN port among other things added for better connectivity.
The new MPS is an up-to-date platform for GC/MS and LC/MS sample preparation and sample introduction. Ruggedness runs in the family, reliability is a given, and the new MPS can help improve both performance and productivity of your GC/MS and LC/MS laboratory to help you meet your throughput challenges for the next several years.
